Das Adventure zur gleichnamigen TV-Serie "The Walking Dead" ist der große Gewinner der Video Game Awards 2012. Das Spiel wurde von der Fachjurie in vier Kategorien, darunter auch zum "Game of the Year" ausgezeichnet. Zum "Studio des Jahres" wurde daher auch Entwickler Telltale Games gekürt.
