South-east European stock-exchange representatives met for the second time this year in Vienna. The meeting, which took place late last week, had representatives from Sarajevo and Banja Luka stock exchanges in attendance.

According to Sarajevo Stock Exchange (SASE), participants discussed available capabilities and future activities aimed at the harmonisation of IPO and timely reporting requirements, the creation of new products and promoting corporate management. The gathering also focused on mutual membership, trade and clearance, and directives of the European Union (EU) which will be applied at member states capital markets as of November 1st, 2007.

At a bilateral meeting of representatives of the BIH stock-exchanges with representatives of the Vienna Stock Exchange, joint activities on distributing data from the BIH stock exchanges, training for representatives of the BIH capital market and the first joint index of Sarajevo and Banja Luka stock-exchange were agreed. Realisation of the announced joint project is planned for the period April-October 2007, SASE said in a statement Wednesday.
