Austrian fuel company OMV intends to raise the number of its petrol stations by six by the year-end, while building five more next year, Radu Caprau, chain director for Bulgaria, announced.

The goal of the company is to operate 85 petrol stations, which will be evidence to the fact the company has enough coverage on the local market.

Since the goal is reached, the company will slow down the rate of its investment in Bulgaria, focusing on better service in its existing stations.

At the same time, OMV will continue to expand its Avanti franchise network which is aimed at drivers not needing additional services but just refilling.

The company wants to reach the 40-filling-stations level for its Avanti brand by 2010 and for the purpose eight stations will open doors by the year-end.
